Send qualified contacts to Mailchimp.

Connect Wavize to the chosen Mailchimp audience to create or update contacts collected in the widget, with profile-only or double opt-in.

Setup

The Mailchimp API key must keep its data-centre suffix, such as -us21, and be paired with the target Audience ID.

01In Mailchimp, open account settings, then Extras and API keys to create a dedicated key.
02Keep the complete key including its -usXX suffix, which identifies the data centre used by the API.
03In Audience, open the target list settings and copy its Audience ID.
04Enter both values in Wavize, choose the consent mode and test the connection before activation.

Contacts captured in Wavize can automatically reach the audience used by your campaigns and journeys.

The connection and its mode can be changed from the Wavize account.

Why is the -usXX suffix required?

Mailchimp uses it to determine your account data centre and build the correct API address. Always copy the complete key.

Where can I find the Audience ID?

Open the relevant audience in Mailchimp and then its settings. The Audience ID is a technical identifier distinct from the list name.

Does Wavize create duplicates?

Synchronization uses the normalized email address to create or update the matching member in the selected audience.
